| In Memoriam: Edith Wilkins 1919-2008
Edith Wilkins had a lot of wonderful attributes. Since her passing on 8/2/08, much thought has been given to the best way to capture those attributes in using her memorial fund. A need recently developed that seemed the perfect way to do so.
The In-Home Supportive Services Coalition created a website in 2008 that was an invaluable tool. But it needed modifications to make it more user friendly, offer more content, and be more dynamic visually. The opportunity to revamp the website from the ground up seemed custom tailored to the goal of maintaining her legacy--as if it were meant to be.
This project and its primary function of communicating our coalition's message literally worldwide is the embodiment of everything that Edith was about. She loved communicating with people (both talking and listening), loved helping those less fortunate than her, and always enjoyed feeling she had made things better by being involved.
